Abstract:With the continuous expansion of human activity areas, the ecological fimctions of rural small and micro wetlands have grad.ually degraded. In view of this, this paper uses the theory of ecological adaptability to design landscapes for small and microwetlands in Xining Village, Nanjing City, with the aim of improving the cuurent ecological environment and landscape spaceenhancing rural vitality, and fostering adaptation between humans and nature. By analyzing the curent problems of rural smalland micro wetlands, this paper proposes principles of ecologically adaptive landscape design along two dimensions: naturalecology and human ecology. In line with preserving the original texture of the countryside, low-disturbance artificial auxiliarymeasures are adopted to restore small and micro wetlands. Simultaneously, combining local characteristics and the finctionaneeds of villagers, activity spaces are moderately created, gradually constructing small and micro wetlands that are ecologicallcoordinated, environmentally sound, and that combie finctionality with cultural feature. Using the small and micro wetlandin Xining Village, Nanjing, as a case study, the paper elaborates on the application of ecological adaptability theory. It exploresstrategies for ecological restoration and landscape design for rural small and micro wetlands, thereby improving their currenecological environment and landscape space. This efiectively revitalizes the rural area, providing a reference for fiture ecological restoration and sustainable development of rural small and micro wetlands.
