Abstract:A botanical garden is an essential place for protecting and displaying plant diversity, and an aromatic plant landscape has becomea key element in enhancing the attractiveness of a botanical garden due to its umique sensory experience and ecological value. Thewinter and spring aromatic plant landscapes of Kunming Botanical Garden were evaluated using the Scenic Beauty Estimationand Semantic Differential method, which screened and analyzed key factors affecting Scenic Beauty Estimation and establisheda winter and spring aromatic plant landscape Scenic Beauty Estiation model for Kumming Botanical Garden. The results showthat the Scenic Beauty Estimation of aromatic plant landscape in Kuming Botanical Garden in winter is mainly aftected by therichmess of plant colours and growth potential, the reasonableness of plant matching and the spatial atmosphere; In contrast, inspring, it is mainly affected by the harmony of plant colours and growth potential, the naturalness of the landscape and the rea-sonableness of the spatial design, and the Scenic Beauty Estimation of aromatic plants in difierent seasons is dominated by different factors, which reflects the infuence of seasonal changes on the evaluation of landscapes. This study developed a model toevaluate the aesthetics of aromatic plant landscapes, providing a decision-making fiamework for assessing their aesthetics. Thismodel will inform the collaborative design of aromatic plant landscape aesthetics, enabling informed decision-making.
