In the current social context, rural revitalization is essential to promote sustainable development of urban and rural areas. Based on the rural revitalization strategy, this paper takes Erqinyao Village in Inner Mongolia as an example to investigate and understand its difficulties in regional landscape development. It uses Geographic Information System(GIS) and other tools to analyze the villages’ spatial distribution, landform, and vegetation coverage. Combining the theories and methods of geography, ecology, culturology, sociology, and other disciplines, this paper makes an in-depth study of the regional landscape and sustainable design of villages. Through reasonable construction planning with the combination of regional landscape and sustainable design, the purpose of improving the living environment, protecting the regional landscape, and promoting local economic development can be achieved. Explore better strategies for the integrated development of regional landscape and sustainable design that adapt to the current era background, genuinely realizing the sustainable planning and design strategy.
