Abstract:As a representation of the real world to the celestial world, “Taoism Nature Sanctuary” is an ideal fairyland for Taoist practice, which is often reflected in landscape paintings. Through the analysis of the internal basis and means of expression of landscape painting schema language, the author explains the relationship between the “Tao” of Taoism and the “Tao” of painting. Taking related subject paintings as examples, this paper analyzes the image system and the Taoist landscape image contained in such paintings, sorts out the fairy-land landscape components, and extracts four main components: “cave” “Taoist temple” “plant” and “cloud air”. It further interprets the connotation and expression of each element in the landscape image of “Taoism Nature Sanctuary” of West Great Mountain Mount Hua The purpose is to explore the value of typical cases in “Taoism Nature Sanctuary” and enrich the relevant research of Taoism Nature Sanctuary in West Great Mountain Mount Hua.
