Flower border is a way to simulate natural flowers, and its research and application in China are attracting more and more attention. Due to a large number of previous research and numerous directions, it is difficult to grasp the development of Flower border as a whole. Taking CNKI as the database and obtaining relevant literature, this study performs document visualization analysis using CiteSpace, to analyze the research status of flower border in China based on analysis graphics of publication trend, Co-cooperation of institutions and authors, Co-keyword and clusters timeline, and Burst terms. According to the analysis, the research on flower border theory in China began in 1981, and the transition of change of literature publication trends was in 2002 and 2010. The phased development characteristics are coupled with the practice of flower border industry; there are few publications and authors with strong centrality, but a wide and close cooperation network has not been established; flower border research focuses on flower border design and application, plant materials and landscape application evaluation; research frontiers are basically consistent with research hotspots, and the main research trends are flower border design and plant materials, and present a trend of multidisciplinary participation.
