Abstract:The urban waterfront is the city’s most valuable ecological landscape resource, and landscape evaluation is conducive to providing ideas and countermeasures for improving the waterfront space landscape. According to the literature survey, practice survey, and expert interview, representative evaluation factors are selected, and the analytic hierarchy process constructed an evaluation system suitable for the green landscape of Expo section of Shanghai Huangpu River Public Space. The study subjects were divided into A, B, C and D segments for green landscape evaluation. Based on the semantic difference method, it conducted a questionnaire survey and obtained the evaluation results through data processing. The results show that the evaluation scores are all positive, indicating that tourists’ overall evaluation of the green landscape is positive. The variance analysis showed a significant difference between the average scores of the evaluation indicators. Among them, the three scores of landscape richness (D1), landscape uniqueness (D3), and sense of the rhythm of spatial sequences (D6) were significantly the highest, while the three scores of Expo cultural sensitivity (D16), industrial element sensitivity (D17) and natural science popularization experience (D18) were significantly the lowest. From the perspective of comprehensive scoring, the A segment > the B segment> the D segment > the C segment, and the evaluation index scores of each segment have certain commonalities. Still, there are significant differences in the scores of some indicators. After field investigation, the evaluation score is consistent with the objective reality. Finally, it discussed the generalizable experiences and ideas for optimization and improvement.
