The aging trend of the population at home and abroad is becoming increasingly significant, and the adaptability of the outdoor environment is gradually being paid attention to by the whole society. With the help of the visual analysis function of CiteSpace software, the author distribution, research methods and research hotspot evolution trend analysis of literature involving the field of landscape aging in 2010-2019 at domestic and foreign country are analyzed, and the results show that: (1) The overall trend of domestic and foreign research is on the rise, but the domestic research method is relatively single; (2) Foreign countries pay attention to the impact of the environment on the physical and mental health, activity ability and communication ability of the elderly, while domestic countries pay more attention to the study of the ageability and rehabilitation landscape of the settlement environment; (3) In the future, foreign countries will pay more attention to the impact of the environment on the mental health of the elderly, focusing on the combination with medical research, while domestic countries will pay attention to the impact of microclimate conditions and personality characteristics of the environment on the adaptability of the elderly, and the research methods will gradually diversify. Therefore, in the future, China should increase its efforts in multidisciplinary cooperation, technical methods, and research breadth to provide a theoretical basis for creating a more harmonious landscape for the elderly.
