With the theme of “Green City Beautiful Life”, the 13th China (Xuzhou) International Garden Expo is based on the traditional Chinese ecological philosophy, the “open and close regularly” terrain of the site, the “slow and introverted” and “expansive” grand history of Xuzhou, and the overall planning concept is innovatively proposed as “great beauty and great comfort with endless life”. From the perspective of ecological civilization and beautiful China, the concept of “life” is specifically integrated from the two aspects of ecology and culture, and focuses on embodying the essence of gardening in the new era of harmonious coexistence between man and nature and a community of human destiny. The main features of the overall planning scheme of Garden Expo are as follows: (1) Respect the original landscape texture of “one lake and four mountains”, and the overall spatial structure of “three corridors and one center” is formed according to the landform. (2) Academicians host the characteristic landscape architecture, such as Lyuliang Pavilion, tourist service center, comprehensive museum and nature museum. (3) The whole garden has five first-class scenic spots, 20 first-class scenic spots and 31 second-class scenic spots. (4) The three cultural contexts are arranged in five large regions, with 39 provincial gardens and 6 public exhibition gardens. (5) The large-scale system of “the Garden Expo in the whole city” helps the Garden Expo “never ending”.
