During the prevention and control of the new corona pneumonia (COVID-19) epidemic in 2020, green space and open space undertook more new functions on the basis of playing the original functions of rest and exercise. Through the study of network information, the expansion functions actually generated during the prevention and control of the epidemic in green space and open space are counted, including six types of activities: meeting ceremonies, medical testing, outdoor office, sports and entertainment, commercial sales and exhibitions. Based on the analysis of the characteristics of six new functions, the paper puts forward suggestions on the construction direction of green space and open space in the post-epidemic era from the aspects of optimizing layout, enriching functional space types and exploring innovative operation and management mode.
