Suzhou classical gardens, a world cultural heritage, crystallize Chinese classical garden culture and art and all humankind’s commonwealth. Many problems have arisen in the plant landscape space of classical gardens in the course of history. Taking the world cultural heritage Lingering Garden as an example, this paper uses literary analysis methods and field research to review space construction, restoration, and protection of plant landscape in Lingering Garden. On the spiritual and material scopes, this paper analyzed the status quo and protection measure of plant landscape space in Lingering Garden and summed up its landscape space problems. Some reasonable suggestions for the preventive protection for plant landscape space in Lingering Garden include providing a reference to the preventive protection for plant landscape space in other classical gardens in Suzhou.
