With the promotion of the protection and renewal of Chinese traditional villages, villages are facing the dilemma of protective and constructive destruction. How to balance the protection and development of villages has become the focus of the industry. With the aid of catalyst theory, combined with practical cases, this paper systematically discusses the specific measures for the protection and renewal of traditional villages from three aspects of architecture, public space and landscape, aiming to provide a new perspective for the revival of traditional villages.
