Abstract:Nature education is a problem raised in recent years to solve children's "natural de ciency". In the design of the community environment, it has gradually become a unique way of education that strives to carry out knowledge learning in the natural environment and strengthen the connection between children and nature. Community gardens are an environmental space that children are more exposed to at present, but this form does not fully perceive and contact the natural environment. The article explores the strategies of community garden design that incorporate the concept of nature education through the interpretation of the connotation of nature education and the study of the model of various landscape elements and the shaping of landscape space in community gardens. The article takes the garden design of the Hupanju Community Garden in Xuanwu District, Nanjing City, as an example to discuss the nature education function of a community garden to enhance the appreciation of the community landscape, through sensory experience, participation, and interaction, and accessible science learning.
