Abstract:The concept of landscape city was put forward by Mr. QianXuesen, a famous scientist in China in 1990. Its core idea is that China's urban construction should absorb the quintessence of traditional cultures such as landscape poetry, classical gardens, and landscape paintings to create a unique and poetic urban living environment. The construction of traditional historical and cultural cities embodies this macro and overall thinking and vision. Starting with the evolution of Kunming's historical city, this paper combs out the landscape pattern of "big and small three mountains and one river" in the natural landscape environment. Daguan Park located in the core node of the urban landscape corridor of "Historical District-Daguan River-Daguan Park–Caohai-Xishan." The planning takes "borrowing scenery", the quintessence of Chinese traditional gardening techniques, as the strategy of landscape reconstruction. It puts forward the way of park reconstruction of "co-construction" and "symbiosis". The aim is to realize the trinity of ecology, life, and habitat of Daguan Park from the aspects of city, park, landscape environment, and humanistic artistic conception, and to provide some reference for the protection and utilization of regional characteristics and the inheritance and development of historical context in other historic cities
