Abstract:The zoo, as a window for animal protection and nature protection, is of considerable signi cance to the protection of captive animals and biodiversity. Plants are an essential part of the construction of the zoo exhibition area. The design of the plant landscape needs to meet animals' ecological habits, improve animal welfare, and pay attention to the homogeneity of the plant landscape. Different from general urban parks, the zoo plant landscape design has distinctive self-characteristics and unique requirements. For such a situation, this article takes the Nanjing Red Mountain Forest Zoo's cat museum as an example. It analyzes and discusses the selection basis, configuration principles, practical use, and protection methods of plants in the exhibition area. It aims to evoke the public's thinking about the environment and design the zoo exhibition area's immersive plant landscape, which provides references and ideas in the future.
