Taking the planning and design of the thematic botanical garden in Lishui Base of Nanjing Forestry University as an example, based on the current situation and the superior planning, this paper combines natural elements with artificial facilities to plan the layout reasonably. This work also takes cherry blossom and crabapple as the main tree species and constructs a thematic botanical garden with the special characteristics of Nanjing Forestry University. By elaborating the planning concept, planning objectives, overall layout, functional zoning and other related design contents, this paper aims to provide a certain reference for the planning and design of the same type of thematic gardens.
