With the development of landscape architecture discipline and the continuous improvement of human cognition, sustainability has been a key standard to measure the excellence of landscape architecture projects. The assessment on the sustainability of landscape architecture has substantive meaning for improving the standing of the industry as well as guiding the future planning and design. The sustainability assessment system of landscape architecture for China hasn’t been established, and the research of which is still in its infancy. Through studying and analyzing the experience on assessment framework and method in Landscape Performance Series, SITES, LEED-ND, Star-Communities and BREEAM-Communities, the article tries to discuss and propose suggestions on assessment of landscape architectural sustainability that is appropriate to China
